Futch Bears are Handmade in Essex by Diana Futcher. Diana made her first soft toy, a fox, at the age of eight from a kit which was a Christmas present from an Auntie. From then she was hooked, making toys for presents, firstly from patterns and then designing patterns of her own. She made her first jointed bear about 10 years ago.
Each Futch bear is an individual, a one-of-a-kind. Diana scours Antique fairs and markets looking for accessories for her bears. Most of the accessories are vintage or antique, sometimes a bear is made to fit around an item.
We are delighted to announce Dusty Attic Bears are now in stock at Magpies Gifts.
Dusty Attic bears are all one-of-a-kind artist teddy bears, designed and handmade by Chloe Wilson in Glastonbury. Most of them are made from mohair, some hand dyed, and a few are made from alpaca. Chloe loves to make big bears, so most of them are over 17 inches tall. Chloe is one of a select few artists who have designed bears for Deans.
“I love things with wings, butterflies, dragonflies, bats, birds, fairies, dragons I love them, so you’ll find that quite a few of my bears have wings too, don’t ask me to go into all the ’what’s’ and ‘whys’ as I really don’t know, they just sort of ended up that way, I like them and I hope you do too. I have always liked fairy stories and it’s great to be able to create something that is a bit magical and out of the ordinary, so if you put all these influences together you’ll see how I ended up making Dusty Attic Bears.’

A new delivery of Kaycee Bears arrived at Magpies Gifts today. There was some very exciting arrivals including some 1-of-a-kind bears, The new Beach Babes and some old favourites.
The 3 one of a kind Kaycee Bears were very popular as usual and sold within minutes of being on the website. They were Breadstick – a large 15″ mouse, Jo-Jo – a small animal print bear, and Flossie – a pretty pink bear.
Kelseys brand new range of bears, called the Beach Babes also arrived. Having only been released two weeks ago, this was the first time they had arrived at the shop. Unfortunately, they were all pre-ordered and are also on their way to their home. Make sure you pre-order yours today as they are only being produced over the summer months!
Some other popular bears and rabbits also returned to stock, including Sis Kaycee, Thyme, Rosemary, Cherry Pie and Plum Pudding.
Kaycee Bears have today released details of their brand new Beach Babes collection. These colourful bears are all 10 inch, fully jointed in a soft short haired plush which have been hand dyed.
